A Visual Guide of Adaptations for People with Disabilities was created to support communities worldwide, who are seeking ways to increase independence, improve work opportunities, and expand education for individuals with disabilities. This is done by creating replicable, economic, sustainable adaptations, using materials indigenous to their community.
This first volume provides examples how to create simple aids for daily living, commonly used in the home.
Our publication is written in Spanish with English translations. However, the photo rich layout was designed to cross many language and literacy barriers.
Our printed copies are available to NGO's in developing countries. Organizations and families within the United States and other countries of middle and high economies are welcome to download a PDF copy of our Visual Guide of Adaptations for People with Disabilities.
This guide has been made possible by the following sponsors:
- Irene S. Scully Family Foundation
